LOSE TO SOUTH AFRICA...
1. Even after the lose of first test against South Africa, Indian fans are very keen to watch the next test match. Dhoni was disappointed after the lose and was feeling very unfortunate , to have Real Experienced players out of the India-South Africa series in India. After the injuries to Dravid and Laxman , India was totally dependent on Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. They both did their jobs well , but a team game cannot be won by two players only...Apart from India's performance, South African player Hashim Amla made a significant double century in the match. His 253* played a major role in devastating India's condition in the very first test. He made his maiden double century and was awarded with Man-of-the-Match. India should make strategies to stop this inform devastator and win second test match on sunday to maintain its First position in ICC Test Ranking...
A NEW PITCH ?
2. After a disappointing lose to South Africa , Indian Selectors are more cautious for the next match. They appealed for a brand new pitch that is to be designed to help Indian Spinners ,for next match on Sunday. Pitch makers totaly disagreed to Selectors to and gave a small incident that happened at Kotla recently...This made Selectors out of the words and hence the pitch will remain as it was earlier was announced. The pitch will be helping the fast bowlers only. Selectors were right on their side , as home advantge should be taken and to help hosting team to win the match and maintain the first position on ICC Test ranking...
Twist in a Tale ?
3. Great news for Indian Fans...VVS Laxman struggling with his finger is now 100% fit according to Indian fitness camp. He will be there with his self speaking experience in Eden Garden to help India in this DO or DIE match. This match will decide India's fate of World no. 1 test team and the title of series. This match of Sunday is equally important for both teams. Another good news for Indian Fans is injury to South African captain Graeme Smith. He was practising with a tennis ball which made a good impact on Smith's left finger. And thus increasing the probablity of India's winning...Since India is unable to take Home advantage , all the players were under pressure to same India's title of I position. After two favourable news for India , players are more relaxed and are now quite dependent on our new Very Very Special Laxman for this match. But the lose of Dravid will always be there in Indian side as he is not only Mr.Wall but also Mr. Dependable....
Here we go!!!
4. Indian Fans have got one more reason to be happy. After a very bad start from Indian bowlers. Everybody lost hope of winning the second and the last match of the series. Magnificent batting by Hashim Amla who contributed 114 and a Peterson with 100 to the total just closed all doors for Indian side, but after a comeback of Bhajji with three wickets and Zaheer with four including that of Amla and Peterson, South Africa lost 7 wickets with just 38 runs added to the total score. Gibbs still played with his injured finger but all his effort went in vain when he was stuck for 4 runs only...South African team is bowled out in the morning session and marvelous batting from our little master blaster Sachin and Sehwag, helped India to move closer to victory. They both stood like a wall and added 249 of 57.4 overs for their partnership, Sachin scored 106 and was caught by Kallis on the other hand Sehwag was 165, when he was bowled to Duminy. VVS Laxman is now at the crease at the score of 9 runs to help India stand a big total against South Africans.Only Dale Steyn , Morkel, Harris and Duminy were successful bowlers from South African side with one wicket to each... After end of second day India was able to have a good total against fast bowlers of Africa and were at 342 at the lose of 5 wickets with Laxman and Amit Mishra at the crease....
INDIA WIN THE THRILLER...
After two centuries of Sachin Tendulkar and Sehwag , India looked strong. But when VVS Laxman came to bat he not only made the game in favour of India but also proved himself as the best and showed the world , experience matters the most. Indian Captain was also been criticized after Nagpur Test, even he had to prove himself by knocking 132* and making a new world record of highest score at no. 8 position for India. Laxman too managed 143* and was at the crease till the end of Indian First Innings. India took whole third day to bat and gave chance to their bowlers the next day. South African start was a good one but Smith got out to Mishra in 12th over. The team was looking weak after fall of first wicket and soon Peterson was bowled at 54 with score 21 only. This time was Harbhajan. Then came the Amla, night mare for Indian bowlers and he consistently played till the end of the fifth day with still at the crease. Fourth day was a bad day for India as the rain stopped the play and hence the chances of drawing also increased . Only day left for bowlers was the fifth day with Amla on the crease . The wickets kept on falling on the other side while Amla kept scoring on the other side. He made 123* and played a significant role for African side . After all the efforts Indian bowlers were totally Exhausted and tried hard to bowl out Amla. At last , at last India won the match in thr Last minutes of the end of the game. Indian Fans were totally thrilled by this last minute win and again felt proud to be part of this nation. India retained its No. 1 position in test ranking with 124 points in the bag whereas South Africa is still at No. 2 with 122 points. Man of the Series and Match both went to Hashim Amla as he was the top scorer of the series...
2-1 SERIES WIN OVER AFRICANS...
1. After a terrific win of last test India headed cooly towards 3 match ODI series against Africans. The first ODI was played on 21 Feb at Jaipur (the pink city). India batted first and scored a good total of 298 on pitch with average score of just 215 runs. The top scorer of the team was Suresh Raina with strike rate of magnificient 92. When the Africans came to bat their start was a good one with Gibbs and Bosman on the crease. With the fall of first wicket , of Bosman in 9th over , the wickets kept on falling and India started to have a good reach to the winning but when a tailender Dale Styne came all the expectations went in rain. He scored massive 35 with just 19 balls before being bowled to Praveen Kumar. India just managed to win the thrill with just one run to spare. After the thrill match , India looked more confident toward the second test to be played in Gwalior. This time India won the toss and chose to bat first. Opening was done by Sehwag and Tendulkar. Even after falling of first and second wicket , Tendulkar kept on playing with all his experience and talent and scored "A DOUBLE CENTURY" in the match , which is the highest by any batsman in the world , and it came in 49th over and remained not out till the end of the game.In the last Dhoni played lustiful fours and sixes and totalled his score to 68 of just 37 balls. India made a grand total of 401 and became only team to achieve a score above 400 for three times. The guest seemed to be frightened and played many loose shots in frustation to win or just reach near to the grand total of 400.All the efforts of Ab de villiers went in vain as India won the match and the series with 158 runs and held the position of 2 in ICC ranking for some more time just after Aussies. After winning the series all the major playes were made rest for last match to be played in Ahemdabad. Africans batted first and scored a massive 365 over the yougsters of Indian. India in the reply tried hard to win the match but reached the total of just 275 in just 44.3 overs and hence loosing the last match to guest. Overall performance of india was considered to be good and Tendulkar was again honoured at different places because of his miraculous 200 over south Africa.
